Just a small rant. I just started a new job at $15/hr but I make more hourly from tips alone. This place shall not be named as this company is infamous for firing employees that speak in a negative manner about them on social media or trying to unionize.
Basically I decided to go on a three week vacation into Scotland in July and I put my request in and it was immediately denied. My store manager sent a nite to the work groupchat that we can only choose the specific days off and more than three days is automatically denied.
Is that weird? Never once have I worked a job were I couldn't take vacation off, paid or unpaid. I refuse to give up my vacation since I haven't traveled internationally since 2019 and being given days when I could take off is so weird to me even though I gave ample time. I even requested three days off in June and that got immediately denied. Thoughts?
