Job says I can’t talk about politics or I’m fired

So today I was talking about politics and I said “Woah, Trump is running for re-election, did you know that” as I thought I kept it pretty neutral as I am in a “leadership” position at my job, however when it was me and my boss alone I said “I complete he’s actually going to try to run again” and she replied saying “you’re not allowed to talk about politics or even say the election results, or a politician’s name or you can be fired” I replied with “I’m pretty positive I’m allowed to legally talk about politics as long as it’s not aggressive/harassment” she ended up texting her boss at 12 am, bothering her and told me I’m wrong. However I was doing some research on NRLA and laws about protected speech but I can’t find anything that says anything about just literally saying a politician’s name or something…

However I was doing some research on NRLA and laws about protected speech but I can’t find anything that says anything about just literally saying a politician’s name or something so simple like who’s winning (as I did that on the midterms), I never say who I’m actually voting for or who I’m with with employees or even advocating for anyone.

Just wondering is there ANY actual law about this at all protecting this kind of speech at work?

I’m located in Missouri so I doubt there’s any state protection lol
