My boss removed me from the schedule and told everyone he fired me when I put my notice in

I am from Alberta, Canada. I worked at this place for 5 months. I have never been disciplined or written up. I put my 1 week notice (as required by law) in last week. I wrote a letter and dated it. I extended an offer to assist with any shifts past my notice until I can be replaced, so long as they are discussed with me and do not conflict with any interviews or training shifts (included in letter). My manager did not acknowlege my notice. He said nothing to me at work, and then as soon as I got home, removed me from the schedule and called me off from all the shifts I was scheduled for. This is against the law here.

A day later, he asked if I could work a few days past my notice to help out. I found this very unprofessional since there was no communication, but agreed to come in and help, since there was no scheduling conflicts.

Today, I was told by 3 seperate employees that he told them (explicitly, not implied, I confirmed) that he fired me. This is damaging my reputation in my industry, and very upsetting. Is there anything I can do about this behavior? I told him I am no longer interested in helping out.

I work for a small branch of decent sized local company. I would be the only one working on the days he asked me to come in, and he did not put me on the schedule, so I declined to come in. Me coming in would not prove that I was not fired, since I would be the only one there.
