I have always liked my current work place. The people are (mostly) great and the pay is ok for the area/job. I work in the office area. My partner worked the warehouse area until this morning. He got fired for taking too much time off. He has 8 days of unused pto and more vacation still. He's the warehouse's best worker (company wide agreement not my opinion).
Everyone in my dept is upset about it. Particularly my supervisor. She directly asked me to tell her if I'd quit because of this.
I have frequent, debilitating migraines. I was told not too long ago that I wouldn't be fired for my health problems. I never have pto built up because of it. I take several days a month off unpaid. I guess I'm looking for a job at a place i can take fmla with. I'll try prepping the paperwork needed to try for 100% disability with the VA.
It's an at will employment state so there's not much if anything he can do about this.
