My job stole 100$ from me
As the title says my job took 100$ out of my cash out… I work in the bar & restaurant industry
This happened in Virginia… we have private event rooms & the event coordinator notoriously fucks up. I’m talking about forgetting to file the credit cards people are supposed to use to pay multiple times, missing information from the contracts etc.
TWICE she has told private parties we will charge their card on file while either forgetting to record the card # at all or recording incorrect information. Both times I didn’t get paid until later when we could get ahold of them and get the right info.
well tonight we have a small event… the contract read they had a 100$ room fee but had already paid it
Ex: room fee: $100
Deposit: $100
I went over the contract with management to make sure this meant they paid the room fee prior to the event HOWEVER the party lady apparently never rang it up as the room fee so when I applied the 100$ deposit to the bill it was actually 100$ short
The people left me an extra 135$ above auto grat however I was only given 35$ of it because they took the 100 for the event planners “commission” since she didn’t ring it in.
I’m literally at a loss about how to even process and handle this right now
