Job wanting me to learn a new position without pay raise

for some context i work on technically an assembly line. we build custom horse trailers. i’m the only person in my position ‘front wire’ and i was told today that they want me to learn the back end soon. how do i / can i refuse this without getting fired? i don’t plan on being here much longer at all. i’m currently trying to save money to take my CDL, should i tell them there’s no point in me leaning a new job when i plan on being here only a few more month? how should i go about this?
