Company wants the BOGO deal but only pay for the cheaper product
Here’s a little background info, I work in the Gas industry for parts. I’ve been with the company for a few years and run the warehouse. We only have 3 employees at most of our branches and it has been that way for a long time. We have a CSR manager which manages the branch but still answers the phone to take orders. The other inside person is consider a CSR, he handles the phones and customers that come inside. The CSR got an opportunity and took a new position in another department. So he still works at our branch but isn’t involved with the warehouse and customer side anymore. The manager asked me if I would like to move inside, the pay would be a lot better and they would hire a warehouse guy to replace me. I agreed then months go by and no word on what’s going on. Here’s some more info, we have new owners. So the new CEO basically wants me to remain warehouse but also to do the inside job also but for lesser pay than what the inside pays. Inside starts off at 45k and with the small increase they gave me, I am only at 33k. They wonder why people don’t have loyalty to these companies anymore. I asked for the higher pay and my manager said they are still considering me a warehouse employee so I said ok. I am only getting on the phone when he takes lunch and when he takes an off day but if he is here, I will only work the warehouse . I do plan on moving on in a year or so, working toward to getting into the IT field and just wanted to contribute to this subreddit. Thank you guys for listening to my rant. All opinions are welcomed.
