Found out I was exposed to a coworker (along with several people on my team) that we sat next to for over a hour. I was reached out to by my HR with the news and was told not only KEEP COMING BACK TO THE OFFICE but to also HIDE IT FROM EVERYONE. What the hell.
They told us the reason they didn't want us to spread the news is “To not start a panic. You all will be fine.” I asked what happens if I get sick and was told, “The pandemic is over and you're all vaxxed. You'll get over it. If you truly get sick, work with your manager on what to do.”
They know that we've been exposed to someone with covid and tell us to come in with the chance that we will spread it. Even though we can all easily work from home.
We need to change this broken system.
