Been doing seasonal work at a ski resort the past year and a half. The end of season department party was today at a resort about 30 mins away from our own mountain. Many employees dont have their own cars and no transportation was provided. I was appalled that they posted that we must pay a ten dollar fee for our lift tickets at the party since our mountain is closed. Seriously? they cant ask that mountain to waive the fee for one day? or just pay it for all the lifties? Making employees pay for their own party is ridiculous. Another independent mountain in the area has their party today as well and they are giving each employee $100. Jealous of my friend that left my mountain to go work there…
