Just got off the phone with a county recruiter about a job I had applied to about the same time I had submitted and interviewed for a job with their sister division. Was told to come in Monday at 8am for the interview without asking if I could. Told her I had to work and couldnt take the day off on such short notice but I would be more than happy to have the interview through zoom or any platform they used. Got attitude in return and some snarky remark about how “we like to see our prospects in person to get a “feel for their commitment and values.” Admittedly got annoyed and said I'd be more than happy to send her an invoice for the time, resources and loss of pay and she replied “that's not how we do things.” Told her thank you for the consideration and ended the call. Like ok bitch you stay understaffed. Rant over, sorry if I'm being a bitch about it just needed to vent lol
