My work has a strict points based attendance policy
you get sick and go to the doctors and get a note, but don’t have enough PTO, you’ll still get a point.
So basically if you get sick without PTO, because say you are a new employee or just went on vacation, they’d punish you for not going to work sick.
My manager told one of my co-workers who got sick for a couple of days, “maybe if you can’t stay healthy this isn’t the right job for you.”
