Just need to vent.
My job offers 12 sick days a year. Apparently HR tends to scrutinize you more if you use a sick day at the beginning or end of a work week or if you use too many at once (I used three days in four months nonconsecutively). But we also don’t get a pay out, so to speak, if we don’t use all of our sick days. So, why exactly is it an issue for me to use my days when I want? Like I didn’t realize it was customary for me to manage my mental health needs according to what my company requires. If I want to take a fucking mental health day, why is that any of their business. A sick day is a goddamn sick day.
