Just got our ‘potential bonus’ presentation for 2023. Feeling depressed.

Basically, if we (the whole company) gets a customer satisfaction score (service industry) of 9.5 out of 10 we ‘unlock’ a bonus of 5%. Somehow that’s tied to the growth of our customer base being greater than 4.5% net. We have cobbled together work around for antiquated systems that don’t give us visibility to anything and are failing at an escalating rate as we add more bandages. Makes it hard to answer a client with questions and even harder if we have to find something they need fixed. Looking dim. If all of that is true, and we grow more than 4.5%, then we ‘unlock’ the potential to receive another 2.5%, if we grow over 5% in total. I know there’s an additional stipulation in there, but can’t articulate it bc I don’t understand it. Grow >5% and the company gets

Grow >5% and the company gets <9.5/10? No bonuses for full time employees. Sorry, try again next year.

Oh btw, director+ is on a totally separate program.

Low to mid level manager? You can have your bonus decreased if your understaffed team can’t keep up.
