The review I left on indeed:
“No communication would be better than what happens here. My junk drawer at home is more organized than this place. I am in awe at how this company survives when even the simplest of tasks cannot be done or are done incorrectly. The pay is below a living wage, and the frustration isn't worth the check. Typical management – all title and no action. Owners who live in another state, so never around and take that money away from the local economy. [Company name] is a prime example of how not to run a company. HR person has been there for 25 years and tells me she cannot copy and paste on their system (she's a piece of work in her own right), or create an employee handbook. The HR department cannot create and employee handbook – think about that. That's her job, and she can't do it.
I rant because I am in disbelief. I was there for two weeks. Just 7 shifts, and I saw and/or experienced all of this. Walked into work feeling like today was gonna be a good day. Saw that my paperwork and product didn't match at all. Called my boss and learned it was another communication issue. It isn't worth it. No new job is. Avoid [company name] if you thrive on clear communication and organization and common sense.”
Texted my boss a shortened version of this after I got into work today, and started it off with “I quit”. His response: “yeah, no problem I agree. Thanks for the heads up”. He's a good guy caught in the vile middle management hellhole. Don't think he'll be there much longer.
And all I can say about HR is that little miss muffet has glued her ass to that tuffet, and thinks it is a throne.
Well, none of that shit is my problem now. Calgon, take me away!
Edited to remove company name.
