Disclaimer: This is some of that sweet out of touch bullshit.
First there was a schedule change made behind my back without any effort to inform me about it, which led to me being late and the managers being unreasonably mad at me. Then it was the use of my emergency contact number to ask me to come in early to cover another shift. Then it was the manager finding out I attend online college and then immediately scheduling me to work until closing for the next five days of the next week (which is basically midnight, mind you). Then it was the manager going off on a tangent about how she “does so much and it's not fair”, and now they just sent me a text message filled with a bunch of corporate bullshit about “growing” and “starting your journey with your work family”.
I literally quit last night because the manager was being a gaslighting, blame shifting, toxic asshole and that's the first thing you send me?
tldr: toxic managers taking advantage of a part time employee, causing said employee to quit, and then the former employee immediately receiving a text the next morning about “starting a journey with your corporate slave family.”
