Just Quit my retail job for good, so glad to be done.

Long story somewhat shortened, I have been working a retail job for a local small business the last 7 months while looking for full time work using my degrees. Finally landed a biomedical engineer job with good pay and great benefits. I agreed to work a couple more weekends to help out the store manager while they looked for someone else desperate enough to work for $12/hr. After working this Saturday with someone for 8 hours who tested positive for COVID on Sunday, I have had enough. I have a 95 year old grandmother I help take care who won't get vaccinated, and a 70 year mother with stage 3 ovarian cancer in the middle of Chemo who hasn't gotten any boosters. I went in today masked up since I don't know if I'm going to test positive in a couple days, and dropped off my key and let the manager know I'm 100% done. She was there all day Saturday too, but still can't be bothered to wear a mask, and she has had COVID twice (so has everyone else that works there besides me). Feels good to be done with that train wreck.
