At my current place of employment I have brought up 6 months ago that I was working well above my job description and ask that we look into a new job description as compensation package. Initially I this went well with the COO we originally had but he was laid off and a new COO took his place the conversation seemed good with the new guy too. But I was told until the company can clear it’s round A funding they can’t go forward with anything. That funding clearing has always been just a few weeks away. So here I am 6 months later with even more responsibilities and no pay but.
So last night I started applying for new jobs and t felt liberating. It is also telling that what I asked for from my current company is at the absolute l low end for the jobs I am applying for now.
There is some freedom in opening up your options.
