Just told the company they should let us unionize

Not sure how this will go over, but I sent in a fairly well-worded request on the diversity and inclusion survey I received in an email this morning. I have been an hourly worker for this company for over 4 years, and watched many bright and talented individuals quit within months. I stick it out mostly because I don't know what else to do (we spend a lot of time essentially unsupervised in the woods, hard to beat that). I have ADHD so there aren't really any places I can be in and stay focused and calm without medication. I'm incredibly fortunate to be financially stable and have low living expenses. I didn't directly mention unionizing, but I made sure to use the phrase collective bargaining and discussion of fair wages. No idea who reads these responses or how anonymous it really is. If they have a problem with it…

If they have a problem with it I'll just double down. Now that I'm medicated I can actually think straight and gather my thoughts sometimes!

No idea if this was a good idea, but anytime someone tries to speak with HR about their concerns they feel like they are talking to a wall. I am frustrated more for my coworkers than myself. I've always been one to float with the breeze, even if I don't like where it takes me

But I've been around long enough to observe these things and understand the problems the average employee might encounter. I always try to understand and empathize with their concerns, maybe that's why I'm not a manager 🤪
