Hello!
I'm employed for over 8 months in a newly started, small, ethical company. The boss promised me an employment contract (nothing in writing), but he then decided that it's better for both to keep me paying as an independent contractor through my own company.
It's true, in this way I receive more money, we both pay less taxes, but legality of the arrangement in Europe is dubious and morality is definitely not there (which is funny because the company is in theory made with social purpose in mind).
I'm increasingly feeling insecure in this arrangement because on more than a few occasions he threatened to fire me. And as an independent contractor paid through my company, I have no rights at all. I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't agree to employ me properly as I repetadely ask him to do, but am I totally out of rights?
I really love this job and colleagues and what we're trying to do, but the boss is just a big ass.
What should I do? What would you do?
