I work with IT, there's a lot of demand in the area and I've seen a lot of people that never considered a change to the area because it's “too nerdy” or because they think it requires some sort of innate skill set. I mean, if you like logic, math or statistics and know your way around spreadsheets' formulas, trust me, you are closer than you think. And I imagine that'd be the same for other in demand careers.
