Leadership

Is anyone else experiencing a decline in leadership quality in their engineering companies? I've worked for 3 different firms over 15 years, and it seems like the newer management is becoming more incompetent and arbitrary in their decision-making. I often see no rationale or communication behind their actions, and when questioned, they brush it off with vague or authoritarian responses. Worse, they impose unrealistic deadlines and mandatory overtime without fair compensation or appreciation for our efforts. It's demoralizing and unsustainable. In the meantime, we are stilling trying to hire bring our workforce to normal capacity. I wonder if this is a common trend or just my bad luck.
