Today is the last day our offices are open before we take an extended weekend for Christmas. We were told yesterday we would be able to leave early, maybe by 2pm or maybe earlier if we all came in early and busted our asses to finish our work faster.
So we did that. We all came in at least an hour earlier than normal so that way we could get out early and start our weekends. Funny enough all of the leadership- supervisors, managers, and VP’s- are nowhere to be found today. All off on PTO. whatever, it looks bad, but at least if we bust our asses we can get out of here early to be with our families.

It’s 10:30am and we’re all basically done with our work and are expecting to be done by 11, so one of us called our manager and he fucking denied us leaving early. His words were “oh well when you finish your work we have some other busy work you can do for a while to help out some coworkers, but you guys can’t leave before 2pm.”
Naturally we’re all pissed. Like what a bait and switch they fucking pulled on us all, I’m pissed at myself for actually waking up early to get here to leave early only to be told “no no no! Yeah even though you finished your work you can’t leave! :)”
Fuck that. Fuck them
