Leaving job with a lot of sick hours left. What to do?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, my question isn’t really “anti work”. I am just looking for some input from people more experienced than I am in the workforce. I start a new job 4 weeks from now. Haven’t put in my 2-week notice at my current job yet. However, I did some research into the rules and it turns out they only pay out our banked PTO when an employee leaves. Sick hours are lost forever. I have 82 sick hours banked (don’t get sick, didn’t need them). That’s ~$3750 gross pay. I know it’s not income I earned, but I wonder if there’s any way to use any of that at least? Is there any way to burn some of these sick hours? Should I do so before or after putting in my notice? PS: I’m not looking for anything illegal or unethical.
