let’s turn this railroad issue into a real issue.

I have a proposal for the group. The real issue of sick days for the railroad workers should be a problem for all workers. Why not instead of complaining about the possible push from congress to stop the strike we put forth a bill to fix the issue for all. My bill is simple All workers get 14 days PTO per calendar year. I have a proposal for the group.

The real issue of sick days for the railroad workers should be a problem for all workers. Why not instead of complaining about the possible push from congress to stop the strike we put forth a bill to fix the issue for all.

My bill is simple

All workers get 14 days PTO per calendar year. All days are available on day 1 of the year and all days not used are cashed out if laid off. No carry over because that makes it way more complicated.

Not sick leave, not vacation, not jury duty time just PTO no exceptions. Federally mandated PTO.

I think with the millions in this group we could easily overload congress and the president with calls, emails, texts etc. We're in a lame duck session so this is the best time to get it passed.

What does the group think? Too little? Too much? To me it's a start to get things fixed at a national level.

First question answered: what if I already have PTO? The goal is to create the minimum. Any company could do more or make it more generous by carrying over, etc
