life sucks then you die.

One day very soon, I will be dead at my desk. 8/22/22 I had a blood clot form in my heart that caused a massive MI, I had just changed jobs because my previous employers' insurance wanted me to $1800 a month for Xarelto to treat my factor V Leiden and protein S deficiency. 1m after starting my new job, still waiting on my pharmacy discount card they issue as opposed to rx insurance I get covid, and it hits me hard and interacts with my clotting disorders leading to the MI 3 weeks later. While still in the ICU HR informs me that because I have only been with the company for 9 weeks I cannot file a claim on my disability insurance, nor was my job eligible for FMLA protection. I had no PTO (I wouldn't get my PTO allotment until October) I was advised I would need 8-12 weeks to recover but by then I would be unemployed and homeless, so I did the only thing I could do to survive, I went back to work after a mid-proximal LAD STEMI (widowmaker) 5 days later. My work schedule could not accommodate cardiac rehab, I can barely afford the 250$ in medication per month to keep me alive as a result, I am now in advanced heart failure having lost an additional 5% ejection fraction, I have missed weeks of work throughout the year during bouts of heart failure leading up to it becoming permanent. My employer won't renew my at the end of the year due to the time absent so on July 1 I'm unemployed, uninsured, and in active heart failure. in short, I'm a dead man. so I intend to die before the end of my contract, that way at least my nephew gets my life insurance. I'm 42
