Honestly, I just need to scream into the void a little bit.
I graduated a very good university ages ago and since then I started working in the Business Development world. A few years passed and I realised I don't really want to work in that field as it is essentially a glorified spam caller. I actually avoid LinkedIn since to me its absolutely about who can proclaim their love to their job better. It's like they are thankful to be slaves.
I read posts about how to engage more on LinkedIn and how to build connections etc or what you must do to get into the right field and it all starts with reach out to as many people as possible, post 10 times a day on the platform, attend some ridiculous wanna-be social events. All I want is to update my CV and find relevant jobs but it seems that nowadays before employers enslave you, they want you to dance for them first.
So many innovators and co-founders and strategic-thinkers all regurgitating the same BS on that platform it makes me sick. I miss the days I can just hand in my CV somewhere and get a job that pays for my bills and makes me happy.
On the other hand if anyone has any tips which Business field makes the most in the UK I'd appreciate that. I've worked in Property and Business Development/Account management.
I'm just so sick of the constant low slaries with potential of commission. I want a stable job 9-5 with a decent salary. That's it. Is it too much lol
