If we paid for driving insurance by the mile( or Km ) with an additional gas tax the more you drive the more you pay and we could get rid of the insurance industry profiteering through compulsory insurance legislation. Why should we all as hardworking taxpayers support a CEO and the exorbitant salary they receive ? It would add 0.20 cents a gallon roughly to insure all drivers . The actual rate would vary but all of us would see more take home pay.
