On this subreddit I've heard so many anecdotal stories of employers not giving people the proper pay when asked for a raise, or given the proper duty title when the position is open. I just don't understand from a buisness aspect how moving up one employee, or paying a few employees a few more bread crumbs is a more difficult decision than having your whole business crumble from lack of experience/skill. I'm a very logical person, and it just baffles me that employers think they hold all the power and refuse to give people things they deserve (matterialistic: money, positions etc. Or intelectual: respect, trust, understanding) rather they'd prefer to have their whole business crumble because a key part of their business structure finally decided that they were more valuable than what they were being given.
