Long time lurker, first time victim.
Company’s on an attrition/ firing spree that can be attributed to one dude, the male Karen in question. Dude has been known as a poor excuse of man from 2 jobs before and continues to carry the torch he keeps lit with burning bridges, with narcissistic pride and joy.
Key highlights from his career:
1. Calling out bullshit while being the biggest bullshitter himself. Think saying almost nothing helpful and saying pepper-spraying professional conversations with snide remarks.
2. Waving his rank around and trying to “lead” with fear while the top people (who are truly essential) just ignore him.
3. Assigning near impossible tasks to junior members and then firing them because they “failed to meet expectations”. One of the recent victims was a sole breadwinner btw.
4. Refusing to speak during meetings with any above him to keep what he thinks is his pristine reputation as the company’s top mind. Can someone give the local mental hospital a ring? You guys are probably one short.
And lo and behold, I’m now in a team with this dude and already on the receiving end of his tantrums. But I figured why take these beatings in silence when I can share them with you beautiful people. Also, maybe these logs can one day be part of a study on how and why some people were never made to be a part of a community.
