I feel like I’m being boned by my job. My job has been having me help out in a different department while still handling payroll, vacations, ordering of parts, etc for my original dept. It’s been two months and I’ve been told every other week that my permanent promotion and pay raise is coming. Had a meeting today and the dept head told the Plant manager that I need the raise. When I asked if I should be expecting that he basically said no, when I told him I’ll be going back to just my original duties he again said no that I have to do everything that’s on my plate. I can’t quit because I was given a relocation package when I came to work here. I can pay it back, but it would almost empty my savings. I’m actively looking for other job opportunities, but I cannot afford to take a pay cut. So I’m pretty screwed for the time being. I’ve been passively looking for new job opportunities, but after today I’m changing that to active.
