Losing my job. I've never been fired or had a work issue before, have always been an “excellent” employee. There are no complaints about the quality of my work or relationships, literally the only reason is because I asked a screaming cussing man to “bring the temperature down” in a meeting 6 weeks ago and that pissed him off. No bullshit, no important info left out, it's genuinely a really toxic environment, nepotism, and someone with way too much power. I'm not one to throw sexism around willy nilly, but those close to the situation believe it to be a factor. I've been given two weeks to ramp down my project and then I'm out.
I've been saving so hard all my life. I paid as much as I could towards tuition in college and still have 30k in student debt. I have no credit card debt. I live very frugally. I still don't even have half of a down payment for a house, and I'm so burnt out from bullshit toxic “professional” jobs that I just want to die. *I'm not suicidal or in danger, I just feel like I want to be dead.
I just don't know what to do. I can find another job, I know that, but I don't want to do this anymore and I don't have the money, resources, or support to work less or take lower paying jobs if I wanna buy a home and get out of the rent trap. I'm just really really defeated and want it to be over.
