Hi Reddit.
I work in video production and worked internally as a video editor / producer for an agency from 2020- 2022 when I was laid off in June. Got laid off, but I never filed for unemployment. Got a new job for a few months and then I got a job offer I couldn't refused. Great pay and benefits.
I went into a meeting today at 2:30pm (already knowing something was sus) to be told that I'm losing my job after two weeks, the CEO apologized that they just lost a major bid for a client for 2023 and let me know he was letting me go and would let me file for unemployment.
My question is, do I qualify for unemployment still? I should right since I worked from Jan – June of 2022 and then from August – October and then November 26th – December 9th?
Thanks Reddit. This shit sucks. Right before Christmas too.
