I work in a deli in a grocery store. I’m the only man that works in my department. I made a complaint about two different women today to the store manager. One is one of the trainers, however during our first two nights of her “training” me to close she did not say a single word to me. I essentially used common sense to get tasks done and apologized to my department manager if anything wasn’t done properly. I found out that everything was fine and she’s a problem to begin with. In addition she is extremely rude borderline hostile to me and I’ve done nothing to her. The other has made multiple unwanted advancements to me going as far as grabbing my apron and stuffing her number in my pocket, inviting herself to events, telling me that her son needs a father, and tell me that she knows where I live…( she has been reported for this behavior before I’ve been told)
Today I was forced into a conversation with the first woman. She denied everything, and the manager blatantly sided with her. ( fine whatever minor problem compared to woman 2)
She wants to get us face to face just like on Monday and talk about this.
NO! I was under the assumption that conversations and concerns like this were confidential?! It’s bad enough that you just made me an enemy of half my department and the women I’m working with most the day!!
Can I just refuse to have this conversation when/if it comes up?
