A extremely sad event happened yesterday. An employee was brutally murdered at work and the company ceo and vice presidents an senior management made the call to not warn any team members as we were extremely worried we were on the overnight and not any of us knew what happened rumor of someone with a gun was going around we didn't go into lock down nothing. Rumors running around people scared worried that the person could be in the building still. After it happend they had overnight, AM an PM team stay in production while all of us were in shock and scared. They caught the man who did this terrible act but everyone was still I'm shock. The upper management decided it's OK to keep working not have the common decency to close for the day. Even better they sent out an email about the situation and that no ones in danger. Well let you know more as we get information. They did some bullshit video to us saying that we are concerned and the horrible human being of a vice president said we've gotten through a lot together. We made it through covid we can make it through this. As if working through the pandemic is similar to having one of our coworkers brutally murdered. We have 0 security on pm and overnight shifts. Just the days and all the security is 4 team members answering phone calls they don't leave their desk for security checks or anything. They are basically receptionist. They are pretending to make it seem like the actually care and brought counseling on sifgt for a few hours. This company is more concerned about getting orders out than making sure we are safe. Only thing that matter is getting orders out. Oh yeah the email thay came out after the first email from them was another email asking for help on Saturday and Sunday to help with the large work load.
