From the start of February through the end of May, we were all assured, guaranteed, that we’d be back to normal hours again “once the Slow Season is over”. Apparently that’s lasted all of about six fucking weeks, since we part-timers, previously given regular and consistent 32-hour work weeks in the “on-season”, have yet again been cut down to just 20 hours each.
On top of this, we’re the overnight shift, and at least half of us take the goddamn bus to work, which means since they’re cutting us off at 4 or 5 in the morning, we end up waiting between one and two full hours just to get home!
And before anyone asks, this is in fact a union job; it’s just that said union is fucking pathetic! And again, we’re overnight, so we have no quick and reliable way to contact a rep, anyway!
