I had an imprompt meeting with my manager today. I started a new part time job last november doing sales in pretty much a call center. I was desparate for a part time job so I signed. Fast forward and today my manager wanted an inprompt meeting with me.
I had made some small mistakes and was unsure if I was fit for the job. I live in Norway, its very expensive here making 175 NOK an hour (17 dollars). To but that into perspective, cleaners, who many consider a low skilled job is paid minimum by law 20 dollars an hour. I guess my I dont give a fuck attitude has caught up with me and I fully expect to be let go when my trial period ends next month.
My dilemma is, how on earth can managers expect us to care paying us scraps? I sat there explaining but I already know that they have decided too let me go. I truly dont give a fuck and I know that this is a blessing since taking calls is so easy and I am not learning anything.
