Holy hell, this has been a week and I’ll start it with that. I’ve been with my company for well over a year and have watched my manager climb their way to where they are now. To skip over details, there’s plenty to be said about them and the turnover while they’ve been in the head manager role and other things that really show how awful of a leader they truly are. But this week they really stooped to another level of low, even for them.
As I said in the title, the manager has told us no one is allowed to take any personal time due to “too many people calling out.” Make that make sense please? Family members passing, outside responsibilities, getting sick, anything else you’d call out for is getting “out of hand” apparently. So yeah fuck the rest of us who want to just take personal time to have a break??? My company loves talking about how important mental health is yet my manager absolutely hates it when it’s not them taking their own personal days.
People don’t leave jobs all the time. They leave shitty managers and I’ve about had it with mine.
