This situation happened a few months ago and I only worked at the place for 2 months but it still hurts. I worked at a spa and I loved it. It was my first job. I worked so hard and I was learning so fast. I was getting pretty good at my job and I got along with everyone but then one day, the manager pulled me into her office and told me she received some complaints about me “starting drama” and “spreading negativity” even though I never gossiped and there was literally nothing to start drama over.
The manager was always pretty awful to me and no one really liked her. She was passive aggressive, lazy, always made subtle digs at me, and always showed up late and left early.
The only thing that gives me some level of peace is that customers always complain about her on yelp lol. I never got a single bad review and she has plenty.
It's just crazy how someone who is so incompetent at their job and gets tons of actual complaints never gets fired, while the good employees get fired for no reason.
Anyways I just wanted to rant. I know this might seem petty or pointless, and I know tons of other people have been in similar situations, but talking about it and connecting with others always helps me.
