Manager told me I’m scheduled today when I’m not

So, today I come in. Literally already clocking in and then a coworker comes in and tells me I’m not scheduled to work today. I told my manager that I will come in a few minutes late to my shift today literally two days ago and they couldn’t even tell me that they took me off Thursday. I literally rushed to get there after school after an extracurricular activity and then had to turn back around. I noticed that all my old managers at my last two jobs treated me like this, but I can’t believe this is happening to me again.

I noticed that high school students are just never taken seriously in terms of anything. At my last job I was paid two dollars less than the new hires even though I’ve been working there for a year.

The disregard for my time honestly brought me to tears. What is even worse is that it’s my second week at this place. I feel like I might be overreacting but on my first day of training I also had to wait 40 minutes for the manager to finish up training someone else. I really want a job but I really don’t know if I can take these situations anymore. Just because I’m a minor doesn’t mean that my time is of no value. Hopefully next year in college I’ll finally be seen as a human being worthy of respect.
