Background: my managers manager contacted me and was super demeaning and rude and out of line. I legitimately think this will lead to retaliation because the person in this position runs everything in the department, everything goes through him.
I want to contact the human resources department but won't that just lead to more retaliation? I have to see this person in several meetings and like he has a large influence over my career.
Has anyone been in this situation and what happened? Do I report it and then just deal with having to see him all the time and him potentially making decisions for my career? Can I move departments? Or doi have other options?
