Massive exodus = pay adjustment

My job has ALWAYS had trouble retaining employees. Money, stress, poor management, etc. We literally went from 400 folks down to 70-80 in about 2 years. We lost so many people that we can no longer handle the workload. It’s known that we’re the most underpaid people in the country in our field. 4 months ago, we had 10 more folks put in their 2 weeks notice and leave the company. This caused us to have to turn down contracts because we couldn’t support the work. Which means the company looses money. So, HR adjusted everyone’s pay by 20%. Still lower than some other companies but eh…gotta appreciate the small victories. However, fuck this place. Why would it take you so long to see the writing on the wall???
