Hey everyone! First time poster, long time lurker.
I started a new job a few months ago here in Canada and things were amazing for the first few months. They actually still are, job and pay wise but the most important thing to me is work life balance.
The job was advertised as being part time but I’m scheduled full time hours for the next 2 months. Not only that, we were told we would get 10 PDOs per calendar year and I’m finding out today that that isn’t the case, it’s 10 vacation days per year. I’ve spoken to my fellow trainees and they were under the same impression that we would get 10 PDOs per year. I’m quite upset at this as more money has no use for me if I’m working all the time. I prefer more time off with frugal living.
The company is great to work for and I don’t want to leave but at the same time I don’t want to work 5 days a week.
Does anyone have any advice on what I should/can do?
