The sentence “You can always change your job” means nothing when all jobs are in the service industry. It's really frustrating that people who don't want to work with people don't have any options but take soul crushing customer service jobs. The production industry has lots of jobs that aren't dangerous or too physically demanding, like sewing clothes, assembling electrical devices, making toys etc, but you can no longer find such jobs in the first world, and those who do work these jobs in the third world, work in terrible conditions. There are so many things I would love to do, but my country has no such jobs to give me, It's so frustrating.
