Must CA Lunch Breaks be Uninterrupted?

Company I work for gives us a 30 minute unpaid meal break when working 5 hours or more. We work in construction, and our superintendents have told us we are not allowed to eat in the building, so we’re forced to go to our cars for lunch. Our time is lost going to our cars and back, but that’s because we are told eating isn’t allowed in the building, and we do not have a designated lunch area. So we are forced to eat lunch in our cars. If anyone has any info, that would really help. I’m hoping to send an anonymous email to our company to address this lunch break issue. Thanks!
