Basically above, but I was a host and cleaner of a couple of vacation houses.
I never got behind on messages to guests (which were always honest and kind), or on my scheduling of cleanings (which were always done on time), but I did get behind on scheduling a few not immediate maintenance things while I was snowed in with 3ft of snow up a quarter mile driveway up the side of a mountain, and my car needed a new engine which took weeks longer than I expected (but I always found a ride to work, or I scheduled someone else to make sure everything got done on time). Now that my car is fixed and family home drama is settled, I was back to 100% and looking forward to rocking out the busy season.
Was just getting my mojo back & checking off my todo list off for a company I loved & that said they wanted me for years, when I got the text asking if we can talk? From manager. Talked and got demoted to no longer hosting, just cleaning only, and someone else would make the cleaning schedule. Was messaging with new host / schedule keeper my bulleted list of loose ends that are now her job & she says tomorrow is my last clean, last everything.
Having a lil cry as a reread for typos while I sip this fireball, cause dam I never thought I’d have to post here, but I only planned… psychic friend called when I was crying, and I’m back and posting as is. I was planning to move on to I different prime objective at the end of summer anyway, but this drastically changes my plans.
Still going to clean one last time tomorrow cause I don’t like burning bridges, but yeah, when they said they care and will work through tough times and even offer to take you out to fancy dinner when you’re in town, apparently that wasn’t entirely true & you’re still disposable.
