My apartment complex lost all but one of their maintenance technicians.

I filed 2 maintenance requests for my unit and it's been about 3 weeks and none of them have been filled. I went to the office yesterday and confronted the maintenance manager and asked him why her techs still haven't completed my requests. She explained to me that the company recently gave all their maintenance techs a pay cut from a measly $18/hr to $17/hr and all but 1 quit as a response. The company is trying to get more maintenance techs from other properties the company owns to come to my apartment complex but all of the nearby complexes are also (not surprisingly) short handed as well. I strongly support all these maintenance techs quitting as a response to disgustingly low wages, however myself and a few other tenants are frustrated because we are having issues with our units that aren't getting fixed because of the short staffing issue?…

I was thinking of emailing the company and complaining about this issue, what is your guy's take?
