My best friend got assaulted at work- now her manager is acting like it didn’t happen. What can be done?

My best friend and roommate works at an office supply store who often revives Karen’s considering they typically cater to an older clientele. Today though a man came in complaining about pre packed stickers he bought there and told her he wanted them fixed. When she said that all she could do was return the product he began to yell and cuss at her in front of other customers. Soon enough it escalated to him slamming his hands on the counter close to her before picking stuff off of the counter and throwing it at her. One item hit her face. Then the manager comes up and said exactly what she said, can’t fix, only return. Only for the guy to be grateful, while complaining and cursing about my friend. What can she do? I mean she literally got assaulted….
