my boss always forces me to make me guess what she’s trying to say

Fellas, I’ve had it with this company I’m currently rendering my 30-day resignation for. For the background: I’m 28 (F) and my boss is 41 (F). I’ve been employed under her family’s company (she owns it yes) for 10 months and as the months go by she’s getting worse. I ain’t dumb by any means when it comes to being instructed to do tasks that go beyond my comfort zone and are tedious, but boy does she gaslight me to thinking I am the problem when it comes to miscommunication between us. I’m taking about having a formal job description of a manager, but I also have to shoulder an executive assistant’s workload because she couldnt give a damn in hiring one. I also shoulder events, planning and supply management, as well as copywriting and being the proofreader of her work. Again, out of my formal job description. ANYWAYS, months…

For the background:

I ain’t dumb by any means when it comes to being instructed to do tasks that go beyond my comfort zone and are tedious, but boy does she gaslight me to thinking I am the problem when it comes to miscommunication between us.

I’m taking about having a formal job description of a manager, but I also have to shoulder an executive assistant’s workload because she couldnt give a damn in hiring one. I also shoulder events, planning and supply management, as well as copywriting and being the proofreader of her work.

Again, out of my formal job description.

ANYWAYS, months have gone by and she’s becoming more unreasonable with regards to throwing instruction. She’s expecting more from me.

She’d send me a message with a written task HALF-WRITTEN, and not even a proper sentence.

ex:

“Revise (inserts her own nickname for the project here which does not align with the actual name of the file) with (inserts vague changes here). Send to client.”

“f-up pls (insert one word from the title of a project that has more than 2 files named to it).”

“Send to client (inserts a file and does not specify which client she is talking about).”

I’ve forwarded these kinds of messages from her to several of my teammates and they are constantly confused with what my boss means.

When I do ask for clarification, she ALWAYS tells me “shouldn’t you know about this?” or “look it’s as if you aren’t working with the client.” or “do I need to spoonfeed you, the fuck?”

To my boss who has done nothing but throw tasks at my face non-stop and uses the excuse that just because I am on a WFH setup means I am less stressed, fuck you.

All I need from my boss (aside from a fucking raise) is to stop expecting me to be able to be an AI that can predict EVERYTHING SHE SAYS.

Every time I try to clarify things with her and show the lack of emotional response to her temper and immature outburst (ex: when there is a crisis with a client’s product, she starts verbally lashing out at us to fix it and points fingers at whoever she deems should be responsible for the mistake aka: me but I have no control over the mistakes of my co-workers who should be the ones responsible), she loses it.

Well, sorry for being that person who doesn’t respond to emotional outcry, boss. Time is ticking. Instead of being productive, she chooses to live in the moment and set her employees on fire with her temper.

Her husband is the actual boss of the company btw, but he fucks off to drink and do nothing. And so she handles and micromanages EVERYONE IN THE COMPANY.

Dear god, I’m only 9 months in but she wants me to shadow her like I’ve been working for her for 10 years.

You know what’s the worse part, fellas? My salary is minimum wage, and she’s more than willing to milk me for it because she uses the ‘well you are fortunate to have a WFH set up’.

Thank god I’m leaving.
