so at my job, my store manager makes the schedules every week. when we need specific days off we just tell him before the day he makes them. so i request my two days off to b on saturday and sunday for personal reasons. he asks why and i tell him for my back problems, i was going to explain but chose not to since its personal and i dont want him to know. he starts to question my reasoning because itll be memorial day weekend. and i honestly didnt know that until he told me and i was like oh okay. he told me i would have to bring a doctors note because he doesnt believe me. he was complaining about it again today and its really starting to annoy me. hes been kind of an asshole to me today and i think its because of that. its my first job so im not sure if this is normal for them to ask for a doctors note. i feel like im in high school again lol. i dont feel comfortable bringing one in and i dont think it should be a big deal since i am only taking my required two days off. not any extra days or sick days. advice please?
