Antiwork

My boss is better than most; his staff get regular bonuses, raises, paid lunches, benefits, etc. However, as an anti-capitalist, I just don’t have the marketing/selling spirit he’s looking for and I’m starting to feel guilty. Any advice?

Compounding these bad feelings is the fact that since I’ve started, the business’ profits have gradually dropped. I know it’s not my fault, my area is going through a recession and we are having other internal issues, but I feel like some blame is being put on me anyways and this is making me anxious. I will be leaving in 6 months (my boss knows this), should I just quit? How can I get over this guilt that I’m not here to help grow the business? As an extra note, I work at a small, local business so all the staff, including the boss, are pretty close and friendly.
